Katharine Hepburn at her very best.  AMAZING film.  Watch it.

“Leading Lady Valentine” – Big City Rhythm

Music and Lyrics: Barry Kleinbort

Have you ever seen a musical with a leading lady who possessed a terrible singing voice but had a dynamic stage presence nonetheless?  This number from a revue of Barry Kleinbort songs is a tribute to all those fabulous actresses out there who can’t sing well, like the indomitable Katharine Hepburn who was born on this day in 1907.  In her only stage musical, Ms. Hepburn infamously starred as Coco Chanel in Coco.  Her warbling sounded like croaking, but there was no denying she was a star!
